02.23.08 Seaside Heights - Thousands of residents from twelve states took part of the 15th Annual Law Enforcement Polar Bear Plunge. The event raises money for the Special Olympics in New Jersey and raises awareness ans supports free year round training for more than 16,000 Special Olympic New Jersey athletes. 09.20.07 Atco- Long after the burial of United States Marine Jon. T. Hicks Jr. a lone Marine pays his respects graveside at Atco Cemetery. Hicks, 20, of Atco, was killed with a fellow Marine on Spetember 10, 2007 during operations in the Al Anbar Province of Baghdad. Hicks was the 83 rd service member with ties to NJ killed in Iraq.
